Future Workshops
Workshop on Children’s Health and the Environment
An exciting workshop will be held on February 23-25, 2007 in New Dehli, India. In collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Pediatric Association (IPA) is sponsoring a 3-day workshop on Children’s Health and the Environment. During this workshop, pediatricians will learn about the harmful effects of air pollution, water contamination and unsafe food on the health of children. Moreover, we will discuss how pediatricians from countries around the world can work together to help improve the environment for tomorrow’s children. This issue is a cross-cutting one that may be every bit as important as nutrition in its overall impact on child health.
We hope that you will consider attending to join us in taking action on the many environmental threats to children’s health. Please contact Dr. Ruth Etzel of the IPA’s Committee on Environmental Health if you need additional information (RETZEL@EARTHLINK.NET).
